Make the most of your CPD hours! Join us for two hours of practical, engaging programming, on Artificial Intelligence and the Legal Practice, with time to connect over a complimentary lunch during the session.

Following ChatGPT's public release almost four years ago, generative AI has created new opportunities for, and pressures on, on the legal profession. Professor Salyzyn will introduce and explore key current practical realities when it comes to AI and lawyering. The session will cover key features of this technology, what tools are out there, best practices when lawyers use this technology to serve clients and responding to the growing trend of clients bringing their own AI-generated materials to lawyers. After lunch, the session will shift the focus to self-represented litigants to discuss how those without legal representation are using AI and how lawyers may most effectively respond when such use gives rise to challenges or problems.
